Last updated: August 2, 2026

Stop playing immediately if you experience a seizure, loss of awareness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, involuntary movement, confusion, dizziness, nausea, disorientation, or unusual discomfort. Seek medical advice before resuming play. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Photosensitivity and seizures

A small number of people may experience seizures or other symptoms when exposed to certain flashing lights, contrasting patterns, or rapidly changing images. This can happen even without a previous diagnosis or known history of seizures.

Consult a medical professional before playing if you or a family member has experienced seizures or photosensitivity symptoms. A parent or guardian should monitor younger players for symptoms.

Motion and visual discomfort

Camera movement, screen shake, fast scrolling, moving backgrounds, large numbers of projectiles, and high-contrast post-processing may cause motion sickness, headaches, eye strain, or dizziness for some players.

Sound

Loud or prolonged audio can cause discomfort and may damage hearing. Start at a low volume, avoid listening at an uncomfortable level, and take regular quiet breaks. Treecension provides separate master, music, and sound-effect volume controls.

Play more comfortably

Accessibility note: the current settings include audio, resolution, fullscreen, and VSync controls. Dedicated reduced-flash and reduced-screen-shake options are not yet present, so players sensitive to those effects should use extra caution.

General physical safety

Use a comfortable posture, keep walkways clear, and take breaks if your hands, wrists, neck, back, or eyes become sore. Do not play while driving, operating equipment, or in another situation that requires your full attention.
